Call to Arms!

for the adventurous spirit seeking a challenge

We are about to embark on a grand adventure and are looking for people to join us in our journey. If you are energized about helping others to build and protect their dreams, please take a look at the postings below. We look forward to learning more about you!

Visual Conjurer (Videography Intern)

Location: Virtual (based out of Jacksonville, FL)

Type: Internship

Does the thought of being part director, part editor, part visionary energize you?  Are you able to conceptualize and communicate creative ideas through video? Do you watch educational videos and think, “Who thought this was a good idea?” Can you immediately envision an alternate version that is not only informational, but also memorable? Do you then stop whatever you are doing to make your take into a reality? Do you want to start your career knowing you helped launch an amazing new video series?

If your initial reaction to a prospect throwing a few scripts and some rough cuts of some episodes at you and telling you to embody a notable director, perhaps Scorsese (clean fun!), Hitchcock (intrigue!), Nolan (grit!), or Abrams (lens flare!), and make movie magic is “bring it on!”, have we got the internship for you!

Wilson Dutra is a Jacksonville law firm that focuses on patents, trademarks, startups . . . and, most importantly, fun.  We have the amazing privilege to work with new tech and startups from a wide variety of markets.

If you’ve read this far, you may be reeling to see if you qualify for this internship. Here are a few things we would be looking for from you:

1.      Love fun.

2.      Love filmmaking.

3.      Love learning.

4.      Have a solid sense of humor.

5.      Appreciate experience over wages.

6.     Can embrace the cinematic visionary within you.

7.      Available for a 8-10 week video development and implementation project.

If this is you, then please apply!  We need you now!  Position may be paid depending on the project.

This is not your standard internship posting, so naturally your application won’t be either.

If you are interested, please send a cover letter describing your favorite director and a few signature shots or styles from that director you may want to integrate into an educational web series. Please include examples of films, shows, shorts, or other media with those signatures. You can include links, images, detailed descriptions. . . get creative and be authentic.  We want to feel your passion for film jump off the page.

You may also send us your resume and transcript, but understand that it will only give us context for your interests and background and will not completely affect whether we think you are a good fit.  If you have any software preferences, that may be helpful as well.
